Wedding trends have certainly been changing at warp speed.  Each individual wedding has become an incredibly unique reflection of the celebrated couple.   Styles continue to elevate, guests lists continue to grow, personalization is still huge, and receptions are seriously fun.

How do we know all of this?  Well, we have partnered with WedSafe, your wedding insurance specialists, and asked BridalTweet's audience of 24,000 wedding enthusiasts to share the top  trends that they're seeing in the areas of fashion, decor, food, photography, evolving traditions and more.  Scroll down to find out what's hot for 2025!

  1.  Instagram-Worthy Photo Opps - "An exciting wedding trend taking the spotlight is the collaboration between couples, content creators, videographers, and their suppliers to craft stunning, Instagram-worthy photo opportunities. From choreographed confetti tosses and sparkler moments to dramatic smoke bomb backdrops, these creative moments elevate the visual storytelling of their day." – Sam Lloyd of www.theweddingowl.com

  2. The Wedding Party Is Seated. – "A trend we're currently seeing, and one that's expected to continue to grow into 2025, is couples opting not to have their wedding party stand with them during the ceremony. Instead, they're choosing to keep the focus on themselves as they exchange vows, while their bridesmaids and groomsmen take a seat after making their entrance down the aisle. This approach places the spotlight on the couple's connection while still allowing the wedding party to play a key role in the celebration. By blending tradition with a modern twist, couples are creating ceremonies that feel both intimate and visually streamlined." - Eric | Myrtle Beach Wedding Officiant of Myrtle Beach Wedding Officiant www.MBWeddingOfficiant.com

  3. Pressed Flowers for Wedding Cakes – "I'm excited to share a wedding cake trend that was a hit in 2024 and will be evolving in 2025: pressed flowers on wedding cakes.  We've already had several clients request this style, and it's proving to be a fantastic alternative to the classic fresh flower-topped cakes.  What makes pressed flowers so appealing is their ability to create a unique yet romantic look.  The delicate, flat nature of the flowers makes them perfect for intricate, artistic designs, while still providing a connection to nature.  This trend adapts beautifully to different seasons and wedding styles, from rustic bohemian to elegant garden themes, allowing couples to personalize their cakes in a truly memorable way.  In 2025, we predict that pressed flower designs will continue to gain popularity, but with more creative twists, like incorporating metallic accents or pairing them with minimalistic, modern cake designs." - Taiane Bozzay of Made by Hand Cakes  https://madebyhandcakes.com/pages/wedding-cakes-in-denver

  4. Enhanced Natural Looks – "Gone are the days of looking like a filter. Brides that are getting married in 2025 want to look like an enhanced version of themselves while still feeling glamorous. We are seeing less but still noticeable blush, we are seeing flawless skin yet not caked on foundation, and we are seeing more neutral eyes with an emphasis on lashes as being a focus point. Light shimmers on the eyelids as well as glowing cheekbones make for a fantastic angelic glow which is both timeless and elegant. We are not seeing harsh eyebrows anymore and are leaning towards neatly groomed, slightly filled in brows where needed. Lip colors have transitioned from being bold and harsh to glossy in the pink, mauve and berry shades.  I'm all for makeup trends but I'm extremely excited about what I'm seeing for potential looks for 2025 as its classic and timeless beauty which will never go out of style!" - Daniela of  www.BeautyByDaniela.com

  5. Pops of Color – "Here is a photo of a wedding from this past weekend which had the colors popping so much.  I loved creating this for the happy couple." Angelique of Wedding Florist in France (thepaintedbouquet.com)

  6. Innovative and Elegant Signage – "I absolutely love fabric linen signs and see a rising trend in 2025 weddings. They're simply stunning and bring a timeless elegance to any event." - Julie-Anne O'Keefe of Paper Passion Designs  https://paperpassiondesigns.etsy.com/listing/1801026693/wedding-sign-template-diy-wedding-sign

  7. Mocktails - "We are seeing a new trend where there is a complete Mocktail Bar with amazing non-alcoholic drinks or having one or two mocktails with a traditional bar.'" - Dave Forman of www.pourmasters.com

  8. Jewel Tones - "I am seeing a trend for "Jewel Tones" from this Autumn.  Including shades of deep red, plums, blues, ambers and golds – similar to the designer Biba and their interiors." – Marion of Flowers by Marion kent wedding florist (flowersbymarion.co.uk) Cake by  Luxury Wedding Cakes - Simply Irresistible Cakes

  9. Skipping Rehearsals & Embracing Welcome Parties – "A current trend we're seeing that's set to continue into 2025 is the decline of the traditional wedding rehearsal.  Rehearsal dinners are evolving into lively welcome parties, where the emphasis is on connection and celebration. These events—often larger, more casual, and open to more guests—allow couples to kick off the wedding festivities with a bang, setting the tone for a relaxed, memorable celebration." - Eric | Myrtle Beach Wedding Officiant of Myrtle Beach Wedding Officiant www.MBWeddingOfficiant.com  Photo Credit: freepik

  10. Individualized Notes for Each Guest – "Couples are showing their appreciation and love for their family and friends by taking the time to write a personal message to each one of their wedding guests.  These notes are being placed on the table cards or at individual table settings." – Christine Dyer of www.BridalTweet.com

  11. True-to-Color Photo Editing – "The Sepiagate moment of 2024 turned a lot of couples away from the warm tone and desaturated greens editing style that has been super trendy in the past few years. I've personally seen a huge uptick in my own inquiries where couples are specifically looking for more true-to-life and classic editing. Something that makes their wedding gallery not look dated a few years from now." - Kari Bjorn of www.karibjorn.com
